No there has definitely not been a change in owners. Still the most amazing Mexican food ever.
Same family ownership as always. Still delicious.
Yes. You can even call in your order for dine in.
It's a drive from Rochester but worth it. Great Mexican food this side of the wall.
I use to live in San Deigo and would go to Mexico on my days off. The food that Maria serves here brings back a lot of wonderful memories and the flavour's in her dishes far surpass any Mexican restaurant's in this area!!! will always return. Oh, by the way, the Chicken Flautas is my favorite dish, besides everything eles in the menu.
Top authentic Mexican restaurant in the Rochester area.
Food was very good. My wife continues to rave about her enchilada verde. We all enjoyed the chips, salsa and guacamole. The only negative was how slow the service was. Our friends who were local were shocked by how slow the service was. We recommend bc of the food but know, the service could be slow. (During our visit , there wasn’t enough wait staff for the amount of customers.)
The real Mexican food. Have been going for years when it was a teeny tiny place. The best and authentic tasting. Good choices of American wines. Mexican sodas, and beers.
Food was great but service was non-existent.
Maria Pena runs the best AUTHENTIC Mexican Restaurant anywhere! The food is THE BEST you will ever taste. She and her son Miguel and the rest of the staff never disappoint. This is by far my favorite restaurant. I’ve been coming here for 15-20 years and I’ve never had a bad meal. I could eat three meals a day at El Rincon. Thank you Maria!
Authentic food in a cozy space. Service is a bit slow but friendly. Food is tasty if a bit salty. My only wish is that the fresh salsa that comes with the chips was purée rather than chunky. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food, that is always fresh and delicious. I've been here many times and have never left disappointed. This is my favorite mexican restaurant by far. I've tried other mexican food all over but would rather drive to El Rincon because it is always worth the trip.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
The food was beyond excellent.....the staff is friendly...one can tell this restaurant goes out of their way to use fresh ingredients...and the owner told us her son ownes the rio tomatian in canandaigua ...we should have known..his mother said she has been in business 30 year..will be back for sure
Food was mediocre. Small portions. $3.50 for chips & salsa (no free refills). Waiter was terrible ... some of the worse service I have ever had. This place USED to be good ... not anymore. I'll never return.
Authentic and delicious traditional Mexican food. The best Mexican food in the Rochester area. Staff is friendly, great decor and the food is amazing. Their quacamole is the best. It's worth the drive so don't hesitate to go.
Best Authentic Mexican we've ever had - like actually being IN Mexico!!Authentic, Delicious, family owned and operated and you can tell they pride themselves in quality and service.Portions are delicious and filling and presentation of each main dish is beautiful. And the homemade Flan is to die for!!We were there for a family gathering (approx 15 people) so we ordered a custom large flan to slice and share - texture, taste, smell - it was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Worth the custom order price - I would've paid double what they charged for such a high quality, authentic, perfectly made dessert! Atmosphere is cozy and not overdone. Simple, thoughtfully selected Mexican decor, family oriented and very clean. The Sangria was tasty and the side of rice & beans were so flavorful I could've just eaten that alone as my dinner! My family and I will DEFINITELY keep coming back again and again!
The food was fresh and was fast. It is made fresh, everything comes out just made. We were served fresh made chips and just made salsa. Never disappointed here ever.
The service and food were great! They have a really nice outside covered patio area. We enjoyed our time there.
Nice clean location with authentic Mexican food
Literally THE BEST!!! I always order the burro Derrick (which is probably the most American thing to order from there 😆) but for those more adventurous than I, try the tripe soup!!
Excellent Food.... Very authentic... Worth the money...
Excellent! Just not too cheap.
Delicious food loved it fast service with great friendly staff and just great mexican food
The best Mexican restaurant every 😘😘😘😘🙏🏻
WOW, great place to eat, food fresh, delicious, great atmosphere, waiter Alex was a hoot
This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The Toluca plate is my go to every time. The food is all hand made with high quality ingredients and authentic family recipes. I happily drive 45 minutes to get this food when there are multiple other Mexican restaurants that are much closer. That's 45 minutes both ways too. Basically if you want the best authentic Mexican food you're ever going to try, come here.
Amazimg gem tucked away in Sodus, NY. Mexican food with big authentic flavors, friendly service and everyone knows your name.... if you're local. Can't miss this!
Best Mexican restaurant for miles around.
Excellent service. Nice presentation. Great food.
Appetizer chips and salsa were great. Food was great, and the service was extremely friendly.
Honestly it was really good, it actually taste like Mexico, felt so good that we will definitelly go back. Wish I could had more food, the service is good, prices are affordable, the place is clean, the only thing that would ask to improve is the location, other than that THE best Mexican Food in the Rochester area so far, and we been to almost every single one.
The MOST authentic Mexican you will find in upstate NY! Speaking as an authentic Mexican here 😊🇲🇽
Wheelchair accessible, park on the left side of the building. The two men's and women's single user restrooms are large enough for a wheelchair, pretty much accessible. The food is very good.
Best Mexican food within an hour of Rochester by a long stretch. Super fresh and well crafted. Service was excellent and staff was exceedingly friendly. Worth the drive from town or a stop when your in the area.
I know it's traditional to take photos of the food before you eat it, but this food looked so good, I didn't have the discipline to pull out my phone and snap a pic. So, for what it's worth, here is a photo of my plate after finishing. This place is a great hidden gem in the Sodus area. The food was excellent and the service was great too. The price was reasonable also. I'm definitely stopping back here on my next trip out this way.
I ordered take out and the 15 drive back to my house was torture with how amazing it smelled. I went overkill and ordered way too much food to try lots of items. The seasonings was perfect. The shells and wraps were excellent. Everything was priced very well and pietism sizes were excellent. Service was kind and refreshing. Some of the best if not the best I’ve ever had and it was takeout! Can’t wait to eat it fresh.
Okay if you want real Mexican food this is the spot to go to. While it is in Sodus it is well worth the ride. I typically don't like guacamole but I had guacamole here and is the best I have ever tasted. Do yourself a favor make the trip.
True authentic taste. Great portions and wonderful service. So glad I found this place.
This was our first time eating there. The restaurant colorful and clean,. The food was very good. We will definitely go back.
Called ahead for lunch. Was told 30 minutes. Waited over an hour. Called multiple times to check status of order and was given rude answers every time.
This is an amazing restaurant. Not just categorically as a Mexican restaurant, which it is the finest, but as an example of really great food. A total commitment to freshness is remarkable. It is just so good. If you are looking for a remarkable culinary experience go to El Rincon Mexicano. Everything is made to order so expect to relax a minute. It isn't fast food, it's slow food. So spicy and flavorful. So much fresh cilantro. It is kinda out of the way, but worth it. It's about the food and flavor and freshness, and that is reflected in the fair prices.
Authentic, delicious, and a wide range of selections on the menu. Its the best Mexican food in upstate New York.
The three Amigos special tasted great, but for $14 dollars, I expect more than just the Entre. Should include chips, salsa, beans and rice for that price!
Very yummy!!! Waiter was great and gave excellent recommendations 😁 will definitely go again if we are ever in Sodus
We just enjoyed take-out from El Rincon and my goodness—It was the most delicious thing we’ve eaten in months!! All of the sauces are made fresh and the food is prepared with care. The take out option was clutch during this Pandemic, and they took every care when bringing it out curbside to ensure cleanliness and safety. We ordered the Chile Releno, Burro de Cameron, a tostada, and Jalisco a La Diablo. 10/10 recommend supporting this business before and especially now!!! It was super delicious!!!
Absolutely amazing food! It's a quaint space with great color and vibrancy. El Rincon is the best Mexican cuisine in the area. Out of this world!
This place is second to none in quality of the food, it's killer....I mean killer!!!! They serve beer and wine.... only difference between Rio Tomatian in Canandaigua and El Rincon in Sodus is they have a full bar @Rio.......both places serve food that is delicious , sometimes the service can be slow depending on when you are dining.... well worth the wait!!!!
This place has the best Mexican food around.
Well it says that is busy right now but is dead. I'm going to tell you why before I receive my food I haven't eaten yet. They are slow! Have to pay for chips and salsa 3.50 most every other Mexican restaurant seat you down with menus and get chips for u on the house. The salsa for chips is not salsa. Its tomatoes, onions and cilantro. They charge extra for refill on supposedly salsa. No fountain drinks so no free refills. Bottled drinks 12.5 fl oz.one zip is gone. Just ate had better too pricey. First & last.
So it is the last night of our trip and we were going to eat in Sodus Point, but everything was jammed. So we ventured out a bit further, and so glad we did. The service was a bit slow, but the food more than made up for that. Everything had great flavor and tasted spectacular! I had the Burro Maria (with some leftover for dinner tomorrow) and my wife had Shrimp Jalisco (sorry on the spelling). If we ever make it back to the area, we WILL make it back to El Rincon.
Best mexican food for miles, excellent prices
